Quickly set up and later forgotten – Webservers. Not only are there often abandoned web servers around, worse are certificates that expire on heavily used web servers.
This is why the IT Asset Management Database is a CMDB – a Configuration Management Database – it allows you to effectively reflect your configuration and gain control of it.
Web Servers are attached to Servers, you can freely define the application hosting your web server, leave a description, engage TAGs to relate it to other parts within the IT Assets Management Database CMDB and define URLs, Ports and Protocols on how this web site is accessible.
